The Gospel is the message of God’s love and salvation for humanity, revealed in Jesus Christ, who is also Immanuel, meaning “God with us.” Through Jesus Christ, or Immanuel, God came into the world to restore the broken relationship between Himself and mankind. The Bible tells us that all have sinned and fall short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23), and the penalty of sin is death (Romans 6:23). But God, in His mercy, sent His Son, Jesus Christ, the incarnate Immanuel, to live a perfect life and die on the cross in our place, taking the punishment for our sins. This is the greatest act of love the world has ever known.
Jesus Christ, the risen Immanuel, conquered sin and death, offering eternal life to all who believe in Him. Through faith in Jesus Christ, we can be forgiven, reconciled to God, and receive the gift of eternal life. It is not by our own works or goodness that we are saved, but through God’s grace alone (Ephesians 2:8-9).
To receive this salvation, we must repent—turning away from our sins—and believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who is also Immanuel, who died and rose again for our salvation. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6).
The Gospel is not just a message of salvation; it is a call to follow Jesus Christ, the Immanuel, to love others as He has loved us, and to share the hope of eternal life with the world.
